You can’t pay by instalments on ba.com, but it’s possible to do this through our partner airline, Iberia.
You can book a British Airways flight on Iberia.com if you’re in Brazil, and pay in up to 10 instalments with no additional interest. You can also pay in Brazilian Real on the Iberia website.
Once you’ve decided how many instalments you’d like to pay, your selected instalment option will appear on the credit card details page.
If you’re making your booking outside Brazil on iberia.com, you won’t be able to pay by instalments.
Unfortunately not. Once a ticket has been issued it's not possible to change the payment method for it. We can't reissue the ticket and refund the original payment method while taking the full amount from a new one.
If you’re booking a flight-inclusive package, the currency displayed is always determined by the country your flight departs from.
If you’re booking hotels, cars or sightseeing (without flights), the country of residence you select from the homepage determines the currency you see on your booking.
If you check in online for your flights, you don't need to give us your new credit card details. However, if you can't check in online and your credit card has expired, or you don't have the original credit card you used for payment, you might not be able to use the check-in kiosks or desks. You’ll need to visit our ticket desk, where a member of our team will validate your booking for check-in. You'll just need to show a form of photographic ID such as a UK driving licence, passport or national identification card.
If you need to cancel your booking, please be aware that we can only issue a refund to the card you used to pay for your flights. So, if your credit card details have changed or it's expired, you'll need to contact the original card provider to arrange receipt of the money.
Please call us so we can find out what’s happened.
We recommend that you contact your payment card provider.
If you’re having difficulties making payments for your existing deposit booking, this may be because a flight in your itinerary has had a time change or cancellation. If this is the case, you should use Manage My Booking to view and accept the alternative flight or time offered then try to pay again. If you’ve accepted the alternative flight or time and continue to have trouble making payments online, please contact us by telephone.
We don’t accept payment by cheque for bookings that include flights to or from Lagos. You can pay by credit card, debit card or in cash at a British Airways airport ticket desk.

Yes, you can pay with a virtual credit card or pre-pay payment card as long as they’re supported by one of the card schemes that British Airways accepts, such as Visa or Mastercard, for example.
Using a virtual credit card may prevent you from being able to check in on ba.com via Manage My Booking or from using our self-service kiosks in the airports. This is because we’ll need to see a copy of your virtual card certificate, supplied by your bank, before we can accept you for travel.
British Airways Holidays FAQs
We try to include all taxes and fees in our prices. If we can’t, we’ll clearly state this before you complete your booking.
Local taxes and VAT are not included in prices for British Airways Holidays packages or experiences, or British Airways flights that have hotels, cars or transfers. We’re not permitted to issue VAT invoices.
If the link in your confirmation email isn't working, try logging in to Manage My Booking to access your non-flight vouchers. You can select the booking you’re looking for from the list of hotel bookings, car rentals, transfers and experiences.
It's not essential you print non-flight vouchers for hotels or cars, but we recommend you print non-flight vouchers for transfers and experiences as these often contain important information you’ll need during your journey.
If you still can’t access your vouchers via Manage My Booking, please get in touch.
If you’re booking a flight-inclusive package, the currency displayed is always determined by the country your flight departs from.
If you’re booking hotels, cars or sightseeing (without flights), the country of residence you select from the homepage determines the currency you see on your booking.
Visit Manage My Booking to see if any of your flights have changed or been cancelled, as this can impact your ability to pay your outstanding balance. When you accept any relevant changes, you’ll be able to make payments. If you're still experiencing difficulties making payments, please call us before the balance due date.
ATOL is a protection scheme for holidays and is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 5985.
ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad in the unlikely event that British Airways Holidays goes out of business. If you choose to use Avios as part-payment for your package, ATOL does not protect the Avios but you would still benefit from protection from being stranded abroad.
Receipt FAQs
If you bought your ticket directly from British Airways, please complete this form and our dedicated team will produce your receipt as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only issue duplicate ticket receipts addressed to the payment cardholder. This means if you're claiming expenses back for somebody else after you've paid, we’re unable create a document in their name containing your ticket information and breakdown.
If your browser doesn’t display a confirmation page and booking reference, it’s likely that your booking was successful, but the confirmation page has failed to load. If this happens, please check your email inbox, including any trash or junk folders, to see if you’ve received the email receipt confirming your booking.
If you've not received an email within two hours, please contact us.
If you’re a German VAT registered business, you may need a VAT invoice for claiming back tax credits for your German internal flight. You can do this by using this webform.
